you need to get your cat to a vet because it sounds like a urinary track problem.

Your cat needs to see a vet ASAP. If he is a male cat, you should be on the phone with a vet right now!! Male cats tend to get blocked, meaning they can't pee, which is very serious and can be fatal if not treated. Even if you have a female cat, call your vet and set up an appt. because she may have a urinary tract infection, or bladder stones. Either way I am sure your cat is very uncomfortable and there is nothing you can do at home for any of these problems! Good luck!

Sounds like Cystitus. Your cat will need 2-3 shots plus a course of pills.
This illness can be fatal so take him to the vet NOW.

You may also find that he has been peeing in cupboards and corners.

You're going to have to take it to the vet. I have a 16 yr. old cat (male) and we've made many trips to the vet over the years due to him having a blockage. Very common in male cats. If your cat is female she has a urinary tract infection. Either way, you HAVE to go to the vet. No home remedies.

Well you could continue to see how many answers you receive to this question for the next 2 weeks. By which time the cat might die. So a better Idea might be to get off the computer and take the cat to the vet........NOW!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like a urinary tract infection. Take the cat to the vet and get it taken care of.

Our cats do it sometimes as well, and they are healthy, at their case it's just a bad habit, it is like to sign their place, you know... sometimes only a few drops come out, sometimes nothing... (our cats had an operation - as I know, if they hadn't have that, they could really sing their place, pee and so on, but now they only do this as an instict or dunno.)
Anyway, the best if you take the cat to the vet, and he will tell you that your cat is okay! (I've heard that if you feed you cat only with that "crispy" catfood, that can couse urinate problems, but nothing serious.)

Your cat has lost both it's kidneys hence the inability to pass urine.
Without the kidneys your cat cannot pee.
Go buy a dialisys machine for the poor cat.
stop feeding it gourmet food like salmon and liver pieces.
Put it on a diet of white pollock and water.

If your cat is male his urethra is probably obstructed- this is an emergency, take him to the vet immediately. If female, she probably has cystitis if she's passing very tiny amounts at a time, also needs a vet visit but not so urgent.

Is it a male or female??? My male cat did the same and had Feline Urologic Syndrome (FUS) and my vet literally had to remove his penis and re-direct his parts somehow and he actually became a he/she and though expensive I had him for 7 more years without incident and he did not seem to know the difference but it can kill them if not treated. First they treated mine with antibiotics but ended up with the radical surgery. See your vet soon as it can poison their systems.
