Toa means the mightiest, the strongest, the toughest, the numero uno head honcho. The Maori name for the "All Blacks" Rugby team is "Tima Toa" meaning the Mightiest or Best Team.

toa means champion, so in timea toa, it means the champion team. toa is also the word maoris use for shop.
