If he tells you what to do alot and makes you give in to his ideas or plans alot. If he interrogates you really often about where you are going and what you are doing and who with. If he gets angry when you don't tell him something. If he makes you do things that he knows you are uncomfortable with. If he constantly reminds you that he is dominant. If he scares you any.
But when you are looking at these things, remember that you will probably be looking for signs that he is controlling and what you come up with may be influenced by what you are feeling. Don't mess something up because you're confused, but don't set yourself up to be hurt either.

I'm sorry if your boyfriend is doing this to you. Here are some signs that come from experience and other places
1) He has to know where you are and who you are with all the time
2) He gets upset when you spend time with family and friends
3) He doubts all the time how you feel about him and says you have to do certain things to prove you care about him
4) He pressures and humilates you during sexual activity ( this can range from making out to intercourse)
5) He constantly tells you that what you like isn't as good as what he likes and you are to change your mind
6) He smothers you with emotion
and if you feel trapped, thats reason enough to feel like he is controlling you. Confront him about the issue head on. Good luck

He separates you from your family and friends. Tells you how to dress or act. Doesn't let you use the phone. Doesn't let you go out without him. Puts you down. Makes you feel like he's the only one who will take care of you. Hits you. Cusses you out. Degrades you in front of people. Calls you names. Controls your every move. Etc Etc Etc

Him telling you what to do ,who to see, what to wear---and the list goes on. If he always gets his way when it comes to making decisions or if he has to know where all your money goes then yes he is controlling and probably a real jerk too.

1. Calls you constantly
2. He doesn't like your friends
3. Looks thru your mail
4. Stalking you, making sure you are where you say you are.

He is one who constantly has to know where you are, and what you are doing. If you want someone like that, it is up to you. Things will not usually change for the better with this type of person.

Tells you who you can hang with, where you can go, constantly asking where you are going, saying you have to stay with him at all times, he wants you to pay attention to him and nothing else, why should i have to tell you this, a boyfriend that tries to be your father.

Doesn't like your family, friends, won't let you make friends, go out, wear makeup, pick out your own clothes, pick your own job of choice, and make any decisions what so ever.
