If it is a baby bird all you can do is take it to the Vet,that would be the best thing for the baby bird.

All wild birds are covered with mites. It is completely normal.. Totally uncomfortable for a human when you get these things all over you. There is no use in trying to get rid of them, they come free with the bird. Take the baby to a wildlife shelter and take a shower!! If you want a bird without mites, go buy one from a pet store.

Wild animals naturally have parasites, if the bird is not ill try to leave it where the parent birds can look after it. If the vet is not an option you can sit the bird on an ant hill, the ants will clear off the bugs. Don't use any products on it that are not specifically made for birds, they can contain things which are poisonous to birds, or will destroy the waterproofing in their feathers.

Gently bathe him in just warm water and gently pick the mites off.

Dont use a mite spray intended for dogs, cats, or reptiles this can kill them, you can use a comericail mite spray intended for birds.

Or you can give the bird to a wildlife rescue center
