Does cat really need another cat to keep company if he/she is an indoor cat?

Depends on the cat and the amount of time you have to spend with the cat.

Many cats purrrr-fer isolation and keeping you to themselves. Other cats are very social and need your attention 24/7 ... sometimes another cat will amuse them, sometimes not.

Cats are each unique and individual. I've never meet a cat with the same personality twice.

No, often all an indoors cat wants is a nice warm bed, plenty of food and you to pat him on occasion. My own indoors cat probably would have been very disgruntled if we brought her a friend that would take the attention away from her since she thought herself queen of the house!

No, we had a cat named Siam and she thoth she was human, she hated other cats. All our cats were in door cats, but every know and then they would make a run for the door. The male cat named Muddee; which means lucky, will always be aronud he acts like a girl. And even when we get him fixed he still tried to hit it with the girls he didn't have a chance...

Not really. I know.. it seems that if only I could get another cat, it(the existing cat) would have another to play with.. Yes, it is OK to have another cat but a single cat DOES NOT HAVE TO HAVE another cat. Cats are people-oriented. They are happy with the master and assuming of course that the master gives them attention.. talks to them.. pets them.. brushes them.. that is all they want and are happy that way

Are you kidding? My cat can have more fun with things he finds around my house than he does with another cat. He loves to play with anything that he can scoot, kick, or put between his paws (on his back) and juggle.

No companion needed. They just want your affection. Play with the cat, talk to it- it will start to listen. My cat does it- he is very intelligent. He talks back..lol it's funny... he is so affectionate- he gives kisses by rubbing his nose on my face and purring loud in my ear and nibbling me when he wants to be pet.

It will be nice, to cat have a company, and if cat hasn't it, you'll have to play with he/she every time he/she wont.

not exactly.. but sometimes.. i agree with that statement..
cats can be happy with your care and love and also they can be happy by some other cats.,,
it's rather a selection,
but your opinions best!

believe it or no longer, i surely bypass over the canines and cat from the Christmas image card. I say believe it or no longer because curiously i'm the in basic terms one among my friends and fam that omits their pets. "Roofus says have a Woofy Christmas!" ... heavily effed up they're.
