i recently contacted an old friend, garwy, through friends reunited. He fancied me at school, but he wasn't my type, though i always found him interesting to talk to.
we started e-mailing, and became very close, very soon. he talked about his past sex life a lot, and professed to be madly in love with me.
he encouraged me to write poetry, and got me to post it on the sparknotes forum, where it received excellent reviews.
he phoned me and we im'd each other a lot.
then i received an e-mail from a young girl, who accused him of emotional and sexual manipulation, from the time that she was 16. i also found out about his affair with one of his students.
i asked a friend of mine what she thought about him, and without my knowledge, she reported him to sparknotes, getting all 10,000 of his posts removed.
he blamed me for this, and dumped me, without any explanation, even though we had arranged to meet later this month.
how would you react?
should i just forget him?
(he uses yahoo)

Hello Sutri:
Respect. That is what comes to my mind when I read all your thoughts typed out!

Do you respect yourself? If you do, then you wouldn't even begin to see this person.

Take care of yourself, and over time you will see the truth in situations, even before anything begins......

Ponder your own life, love yourself first. Keep yourself busy with your life's path, educate yourself well, read lots, listen lots, and well respect.

p.s. After pondering over your email again, I think some folks may think you are being 'silly', but I see I think, a very passionate person, very bright and one that needs a hobby/passion and to busy yourself much, much more with other more interesting things in life. To go into this situation/or be ready to be open for others that will forsure follow, well, it spells terrible lonely danger in the near future. People do map out their own journey. We are 100% responsible for all we do. Not 4% but 100% of what happens to us is our doing.
luv

The earlier poster was right that you need a hobby or some more fun way of entertaining yourself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hobbies might give you some inspiration.

Also the internet is a big place full of lovely people. You could join other forums, lists, or get e-pals to meet fun people and have a laugh.

You could even do something sociable in real life (gasp!)

P.S. Sleazy sexual predators may be amusing but in actuality it's not funny. Gossip is not funny too, if you forward people's very private mails recounting how they have been harassed, to every other person you know, as if such things were a joke email of the type 'please forward this to all your friends!'

I had something similar to what you describe happen to me. This is what I did after I got an email from him dumping me as a friend. I wrote him back a email explaining how upset I was at him but if that was the way he wanted it so be it. So I deleted him from my cell and my email addresses. But you know what I will always care about him no matter what. But I will not contact him anymore unless he gives a good apology. So forget it and move on.

Stop obsessing about him and move on. What do you want out of this, 'relationship' anyway?
