Just how Jesus would be the difinate article for his generation, so to could Einstien be for his generation and so on. who could it be now for our generation?

No, I believe the capacity for 'enlightenment' exists in all of us, and we choose whether to work at it or not. If that weren't the case we'd never be capable of becoming self aware.
But 'enlightenment is also defined by the culture we live in. Some people choose to follow the biggest dictator, not the 'enlightened guru'.

They that compare themselves among themselves are not wise. Jesus is the light of men, from generation to generation. As for your candidate, I do not need to "check out" him or her. I know what they are. I only have to remember what I once was. If you desire wisdom, ask of God. But if you do not believe on God's Son, which is the wisdom of God, how shall you know what you desire to ask for? For if you conclude you know what light and wisdom are, and ask after anything but Christ, you are asking for foolishness, and this is not enlightenment, but darkness. Does your candidate preach such things?
