That depends on how long it is. My son had a head of beautiful curls and my dad ended up taking him to get his first hair cut just before he turned 2 because he said he couldn't stand being asked how old SHE was anymore! LOL
I miss the curls though!

I cut my son's hair before he was 2 because people thought he was a girl.

my brother got his hair cut b4 he wuz 1 cuz it grew really weirdly like it grew relly fast right on top of his head and then really slow eveywhere else
