Capitol One has a big name.. A lot of consumers do not even have any idea how things report on credit reports or how it effects them.

Since they do not report a limit I refuse to get their cards.. I have heard MANY people have tried to either get Cap One to report a limit or they have gone directly to the Credit reporting agencies with very little luck.

If you are repairing or building your credit and having a problem getting approved I would try to get a Merrick Bank card. Most people are very happy with them.

Its for consumers who need credit but have already "dropped the ball" a few times with other companies.

They will report you to the credit bureau if needed.

I don't know, but I'm getting ready to close my Capital One account because it has the lowest limit and the highest interest rate. I got it right out of high school as a student card. I don't even have a balance on it anymore, I haven't for like 6 months. I just kept it for emergencies.
