before we invated Iraq there was many question about the draft and to answer your question if we go to war with Syria, Iran or N Korea or all the above then yes I believe there will be a draft. I'd hate to be 18 and broke right now because those are the ones who are going to get drafted.

No way. The United States Marine Corps is directly opposed to the draft. We have a strict belief that it takes a will of steel to become one of the earths most elite fighting men/women. No draft can ever make someone into the kind of warrior we need in this day and age. I signed up as soon as the war started and I'm seeing it through to the last bullet is fired. If you're not willing to stand up and fight for your freedom, what will you fight for. Anyway, I guess I don't really know for sure, but my opinion is that it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

Absolutely not! It is not necessary. If you were informed, you would see that enrollment is up, not only by the "lower class" or those trying to get a "free ride" on education, but by those who truly love this country and understand what it means to stand up for what is right, and defend the freedom you have to spout some of the trash you see on these Internet sites. Also understanding that we truly have enemies who want to destroy our freedom and way of life. They won't be satisfied until we are destroyed. We won't have a draft because this county still has many outstanding young men and women who will answer the call. Not because they are coerced, but because it is right.

The war with Iran looks to happen soon, so probably yes. Too bad it'll just result in more death and destruction than is necessary to resolve the situation.

Only if necessary. Draftees don't measure up to our professional all-volunteer military.

I am afraid we may have to. If done, it must be a pure lottery, with no deferrments, and must include women.
