Lucifer was a great teacher and taught Adam and Eve about the world by inspiring them to the fruit of knowledge. Aren't teachers supposed to be revered? When God heard about this, he cast them out of Eden forever. That's worse than most people treat their pets!!!

Later God insisted that everyone worship him. When they didn't, he, GET THIS!!!, he killed them all except for those on an Ark...

Again, even later some Egyptians didn't worship god, so guess what he did this time!!! He killed their innocent cute little first-born babies...

These are some of the reasons that I don't believe in the bible. For those of you that do, what's your honest take on these things? (Of course, after you're done berating me that is... You’re allowed)

Well. It is a very interesting topic to answer.

Teachers give knowledge. Murderers are psychos and prey on society only taking.

That is the difference between the two people.

A teacher does get paid for the work of teaching but gives a lot more than the money given to them. They mould the students into being receptive to knowledge and using brain power and that stays with the student for the rest of his or her life. There is no other way but to revere a teacher.

A murderer goes and kills your family member and then goes to court and pleads not guilty. After sentencing, he still goes about into therapy (this sucks) and other social programs and then comes out saying he is now ready to participate in healing society.

Have you heard anything more nonsensical than this?

I dont know what you think GOD is the way you have given examples, but nature usually takes steps to teach mankind to control some kind of disaster. When it gets out of hand, then severe reactions will be seen from nature.

I dont understand the story of Adam and Eve so cannot comment on GOD's reaction.

But there is no comparison between a teacher and a murderer.

A teacher passes on knowledge and makes your character.

A murderer kills one of your family but punishes all of the rest of the family too.

I think you need to read a bible instead of listening to hearsay.

1- God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of knowledge. I think His rank is a lot higher than the snake (not lucifer). His word carries the day.

2 - The Generation of the Flood did evil. God can deal with people not worshipping him, but He cannot tolerate evil.

3 - See above. The Egyptians regularly sacrificed their children to Moloch by casting them into a firey furnace. Rape and sodomy of children were rampant.

As I mentioned, Before you put things down, at the very least, be sure of your facts.

Lucifer was both a teacher and a murderer.

God is both a teacher and a murderer.

Humans are mainly murderers. We seem to do very little teaching inbetween the stabbing and shooting.

The Old Testament is based mainly on metaphors, not fact. It was basically saying "Such is the power of God Almighty", rather than "And then he flooded the Red Sea and drowned all the Egyptians." Don't take the OT too seriously- it isn't meant to be.

God spoke to Adam. The Serpent spoke to Eve. What the Serpent asked Eve of the tree is not exactly what God had said, hence creating the doubt necessary for Eve to do what she did. So for me the Serpent did indeed twist and lie.

God did not kill the first born of the Egyptians because they did not worship Him but because the Pharoah would not release the slaves.

As for the Ark. If I start creating something but at some point find it not to be what I require, I would scracth it out and start again. Wouldn't you?

God did this 4 the good of humanity.

The Evil only did what he did to take his revenge on God, he didn't do it for the good of no one.
The one who follow God will go to Heaven, whereas the ones who follow the "teacher" will go to Hell, that same hell that will be held by the Evil.
God gives us rules that we have to follow so that we will be able to enter to Paradis whereas the Evil is trying to make us go to hell!
What didi the Evil say to god when he "declared" war?? He said : We'll see which one between Heaven and Paradis will be the most populated ( maybe he didn't use these exact words lol)
