I don't attack the basic, fundamental teachings of Christ. I attack the perversions of Christ's teachings by the religious right of America and the agenda to create theocratic laws.

Christ's teachings were phenomenally liberal, and remain just as liberal today as they were two thousand years ago.

The origins of Christianity aren't bad. However, some modern day Christians have given the religion a very bad name.

I try my best not to group all of Christianity into one lump in my criticisms. However, I do criticise in hopes that some Christians will wake up and realise that they are rotely repeating, non-thinking pawns in some spiritual leaders' crusade against tolerance and the greater teachings of Christ.

I think it's more of an attack on ignorance. People are just annoyed with the evil religion has played in the world and we want to put a stop to the silly beliefs in gods in the hopes it ends all these ridicules world conflicts

Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? That's what's happening when Christian Fundamentalists use this statement. They have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.

Because christianity attacks other belief systems. The rest of us are fed up of it and are fighting back against the lies that have been told by the church about other belief systems.

Maybe because it seems to be so many of them are saying their religion is so much better than anyone elses. Kind of ticks people off so they react and attack back.
