The Old Testament is more about metaphors than the literal. I doubt very much that there was a boat that could house every single animal and plant on the planet, as well as the food and infrastructure to keep things running... Basically, the Old Testament were just stories to tell about the marvels of God Almighty. Don't take any of the stories too literally. And the bible says God turned people to salt, struck them dead etc. Personally I don't believe that, but some of that stuff is in the New Testament, which draws whole new lines...
Still, I think the suffering in the world is accountable to humankind, not God.

God hates sin. We all have sinned thru the seed of Adam. God sent his begotten Jesus Christ to save the world from sin of humanity.
The Holy Writings say, "There is not one person who is right with God. No, not even one! Romans 3:10
2 Peter 1:20-21
20 Understand this first: No part of the Holy Writings was ever made up by any man.
21 No part of the Holy Writings came long ago because of what man wanted to write. But holy men who belonged to God spoke what the Holy Spirit told them.
We cannot stand in the presence of God with unconfused sins and it needs to be forgiven. God has and always will punish sin.
If he has plan for Satan and his demons, who used to be an angel, what do you think our fate will be?
God punished the wicked people of Noah's day, Pharaoh and his army as they pursued Moses and the Jews, destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for their lustful homosexual nature, and many other examples when he proved that He is Lord God Jehovah.

When are you going to figure out that god isn't protecting anybody, because there is no god that Christan's speak of, It's man made!
If a perfect Christan stepped in front of a train, he's going to get hit and die.
LOL threre's a old testament and a New testament, hummm, I wonder why that is. So you'll believe it!! It boggles my mind how people can believe it.
e.x people today wouldn't follow a religion that says god kills, along with alot of other changes...
Do you know why people made this story up? SO stupid people would be affaid to not believe in him, a few answers down proves im right. It says he was angry and vengeful for the people who did not believe... Right.

I think that maybe all the rain cause the flood. God saved the people that could hear him. Everyone probably thought Noah was crazy cause he heard voices, so they they died laughing. Do you think that's painful? I would rather die laughing at some dude making a zoo out of gopher wood, wouldn't you?

Your retarded in case you imagine disposing of of context proves your aspect. Adam and Eve did not comprehend their destiny God did. Do you imagine he made Earth for relaxing? he made it because it became going to be the position Adam and Eve were going after being solid down. He forgave them contained in the accurate yet they did what they were fated to do. The tower of babel became one aspect - an affront. It became an device atheists of the day were utilising to coach that God became helpless in preventing them construction it. So particularly of destroying it which they might have referred to as a organic disaster or an extra reason he did the only aspect they could no longer push aside as an act of God. --- look on the time! i don't have the time to end the answer so STFU, GTFO and re-prepare your self particularly than let your reviews be your preparation.

yes, He sent the flood. Afterwards He promised to never wipe out (almost) the entire population like that again and the sign of the promise was a rainbow.
He has sent plagues and such before, but that was in the Old Testament.

Why is it assumed that god is Christian or Jewish all the time if you are an atheist? What about Hindu and Buddhist gods or Oden? Or Thor or Ganeshi or Ra... The notion of god being hurtful is based on how followers define the god. Yea dud, god hurt lots of people and people hurt alot of people in the name of god or gods... still do too.

No. Because God is a mythical figure.
Just like Zeus and Hades and Poseiden.
God is a myth. Flooding the world is a myth.

You definitely didn't take the story out of context. God did it. I don't know who told you God doesn't hurt anyone.
