try gettin a squirt bottle of water....i think it would still work with labs. even tho they luv water usually, nobody want it squirted in their face. Everytime it jumps on sumthin or does anything you dont want it to , give it a quick squirt :)

Labs need ALOT of exercise.A walk around the block or romping in the yard alone won't be enough.
You're gonna have to walk him 2-3 times a day for at least 45 minutes to an hour to wear him out.
If that's not do-able.Take him for at least 1 45 minute walk and let him loose in the yard with the sprinkler on or get him a hard sided wading pool to run thru keeping your dog inside. And play fetch games with him several times a day.
When he's inside keep a squirt bottle of water handy and spray him with it whenever he's misbehaving but if you'll give him toys and rawhide he can chew he'll probably spend alot less time annoying your dog.But I'd not worry too much about that cos your older dog will put the pup in it's place soon enough.Kong toys stuffed with peanut butter will keep him occupied for quite awhile as well.

The only way is to keep him away from the other dog/people. He is a puppy and a lab at that. They are full of energy and love to play. Good luck. Watch out for chewing on things also.

Please ignore all the other answers, really! they are just nonsense (water squirting, throwing cookies, keep dogs in separate rooms, etc. They don't know what they're talking about!)

First: it is very normal that healthy puppies play, so if you try to limit their movements, you will damage their characters. You must accomodate them. But of course, you need rules.

FIRST RULE: NEVER HIT A DOG, EVEN SLIGHTLY! You should be able to control a dog just by your voice. You should always praise him "Good dog!" when he does as he is told, and a short "No!" is enough to tell him not to do something. When he obeys your "No!", immediatealy praise him, "Gooood boooy...!!" and pat him.

SECOND RULE: DON'T PLAY ROUGH, especially TUG OF WAR. This teaches your dog to be aggressive.

My advice is: BUY A BOOK ON HOW TO TRAIN A DOG!
Youl'll be grateful. Here you'll learn how to train them not to jump on people. But before you go to the bookshop tomorrow, you must do this today: Take him to the garden and give him plenty of excercise. Big dogs need lots of activities. Puppies usually know their limits when playing with older dogs. The older dogs will show them (by growling or just by ignoring) when they don't welcome the puppies anymore.

Put a collar on him (not too tight) so that you can grab him (gently) when he does something you don't approve. But do NOT hit. Not even with a newspaper. Not even with your finger on his small little nose... Really!

Bitings & Chewings: Give the dog chew-bones -- you can buy them in dog shops or supermarkets. This will train him to chew only on chew bones.

The bitings will stop after they are about 1-2 years old. So till then, just put your shoes where he can't reach.

Trust me! I KNOW!!

He is a puppy hes gonna want to play all the time he is chewing on everything because he is teething it is completely normal find him some rawhide bones or something to help with the teething as far as being playful get toys out for him play catch with him.

I have had expirience. You just call him a bad boy or get a buiscit and throw it somewhere and it'll go where the buiscit is.
