You can't. Send America in isn't going to start a world war. If we get involved, it's already well on its way.

We don't. If the Arabs attack Israel, we're next. Hiding our eyes from danger won't make the danger go away. And the Arabs won't be satisfied if we tell them they can have the rest of the world if they'll just leave us alone. We have to stop them before they get nukes and use them on anybody, because the fallout will drift over here, too. If they start doing that, it's all over. I'm not going to wear a burkah. And the UK's even closer to Israel than the US. You'll get more fallout, first. Didn't you learn anything from 7/7...? It wasn't Jews that caused that!!!! The Arabs want to make the whole world muslim. They won't stop until it is. Maybe you don't have anything else that you believe in, so you don't care, but personally I don't feel like bowing to Mecca three times a day! The only alternative is to fight back.

The American military is overextended with the current campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq. Why do you think Bush is so desperately seeking a diplomatic solution to the situation in Iran? Besides, Israel's military can chew up anything the Arabs throw at it and ask for seconds. That difference in combat capabilities ensures that Israel doesn't have to rely on outside sources of assistance.
And MoonFloor - The majority of Americans actually didn't vote in the last election. Only 40% of our country voted, so Bush garnered about 20% of the votes from all citizens of voting age. 60% of people chose not to vote, giving us 3 times as many people who just didn't care who the president was. That should speak volumes about the quality of the presidential candidates that were forced on us.

i cant see bush ever going in with military. It would severly cut diplomatic links with the UN who are 'ment' to be handling the situation. All he can do is fund there government.
Also blair could never go into israel supporting the israelis due to the strong arab support in the UK, therefore bush would gain no support over the matter.
You have also got to remember that the problem in israel is all due to the britidh holding it after the second world war and promising it to both the arabs and jews.

I don't quite understand your question. Israel didn't "start up." They are answering an attack from an extremist terrorist group that has been supplied, armed, and funded by Iran, Syria, and other Islamic terrorist countries.
The extremist Islamic group, Hezbollah, fired rockets into Israel BEFORE Israel counter-attacked Lebenon.
From all indications, Israel has far more reason to go to war with Lebenon than America did to go to war with Iraq. Lebenon attacked Israel first-----Iraq hadn't even attacked the United States.
By the way----where is Al Queda? Bush said they were the ones responsible for 9-1-1. I guess we're not concerned with him anymore. But we sure got Hussein!
My question is, are we going to now pull out of Iraq completely and let the Middle East fight their own battles?

Bush will have to join in. The Jewish community in the U.S. is too powerful and will make him Join. My question is (unbiasedly curious): Why, throughtout thousands of years (biblically) have the Jews been unwelcomed from everywhere they've gone? Middle East, Europe, Russia....everywhere. There must be something wrong with them or the Judaism religion. Why in their right mind did they think they'd live peacefully in an area where they aren't wanted, knowing they'd be attacked? Also, Why in nearly every country where there are muslims, there are terrorrist? There must be something wrong with that religion also. The scary thing is, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and the fastest growing in the USA (mainly caused by discrimination from other religions). God help us!!

Government works in plateaus. You contact your senators, your selectmen, your congressmen and you say you will not support them if they support whatever issue you're against. If enough people have the same opinion, then they align themselves up the ranks, etc etc. Although, it couldn't hurt to contact both state and federal representatives etc.
War is voted on by congress, the president can't just decide to war. But then, you may also wish to contact the white house, voice your concerns on that level.
And be conscience when voting year by year. Do not vote for candidates just because you're part of their part. Research how they stand on the issues you care about. Vote for the person you think will vote in Congress the way you would. On every level, from town to state to country.
If everyone did this, well, maybe we'd be a better country.

Don't be lacking behind like this friend. Whether the war broke between Israel and Arabs or not, Bush has already started staging ww 3. You have to know this. He invaded Afghanistan, Iraq, go on to Iran, Syria, Lebanon, etc. Do you think that other Arab countries will let him continue with his bloody mission? They must fight back, cos if not he ll finish them one by one. He have no mission for peace on this earth.

I think Israel is more than capable of taking care of themselves...have they needed our help before? They have fought more wars successfully in the last 50 years than the US has.
And if he wants to he can without congressional approval..I think it is 90 days or maybe 60...can't remember.
DoctorMillions....your numbers are screwed up....that was a record number of votes cast in a presidential election, so by what you are saying is that past elections had higher turnouts and that is wrong. It is normal here in the US for only 50% voter turnout.

Seems to me Israel was attacked and one of their soldiers was taken prisoner. Last time I looked that was an act of war. (Or would you just let it go if someone captured a US soldier?) In any case the Israelis seem to be doing just fine on their own. As for Bush, he has not expressed any interest in joining in.

Didn't the Arabs already attack Israel (yesterday)?
Don't worry about just Bush, most of congress is pro-Israel too.
But, don't worry, we're not stupid enough to start world war 3.
