I commend you for wanting to work on your relationship with your Mom.
The key here are finding activities you will both enjoy. Safe ones include going out for a meal or icecream or even shopping.
Think of your likes and hers. Make time to connect with each other (just you and your mom) on a regular basis.

Do something fun you both enjoy - this could be shopping, going to the movies or maybe doing some crafts together. Or ask your mom to show you her photo albums from when she was younger. The key is to create a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of laughs!

My mom and I are the same way this is the second year now we have made it a point to spend time alone. Last year we did the Zoo this year we are going to the Museums Downtown. Have fun with whatever you decide to do.

First and foremost I would sit down with my mother and talk. You know bury the hatchet so to speak, get to the bottom of our disagreements. Then maybe we can go to a day spa, relax a little, go the the salon get a pedicure, you know pamper ourselves some and get closer at the same time.

I have to say there's no better bonding thing for a momma and daughter than shopping...well except for maybe....nope...it's shopping lol...everything else is secondary...meaningless...hahahaha

My daughter and I have lunch and then go shopping. We have also went and had manicures. It was nice because we could sit with eachother and chat, then as we shopped we could see what things we liked.

shopping, crafts, going to library, movies, music event, zoo, state park, jigsaw puzzles, cooking (trying new recipes), bowling, skating, horse back riding, swimming, tennis, softball, bike riding, make overs, ....the list goes on.....
