Atheist.
Agnostic has a different meaning. Agnostics believe that maybe God doesn't exists but they're not sure.
There's the old joke:' I used to be agnostic, but now I'm not sure'.

I don't really like being labelled and put in a pigeon hole by others.

I don't see atheist as negative at all, it's use is probably intended to be derogatory by theists but it doesn't seem to work out that way. Atheist says I do not share belief in God or Gods and that is okay with me.

Non-believer suggests there is nothing I have belief in ... a total emptyness and this couldn't be further from the truth so it doesn't describe me well.

Atheism - an section on theory - and agnosticism - an section on comprehend-how - are different themes. i in my opinion do no longer care that plenty. I call myself an atheist thinking the very reality it is the significant precise. What does hack me off is that 'atheist' has been branded a nasty observe and that anybody is petrified of calling themselves atheists, such that they could prefer to pussyfoot round it through calling themselves pantheists or naturists, or non-non secular. Do you've faith in a deity? If no longer then you fairly definately are an atheist. Edit: Pussy is a nasty observe in Yahoo-communicate? What a shame for each and each and each of the cat followers excellent right here.

Whichever one is most compatible with belief. The words are all somewhat different in meaning; I style myself as agnostic. Comes from Greek; means "to not know".

Whatever it is that others call me is meaningless in the greater picture of my personal views of this place we all live in. Labels are meaning less unless you identify with them.
