I asked this question yesterday and I got morons answering things like " I still don't believe in evolution"...
What they should have said was "I still don't understand evolution" because that is the root problem here...
Good on you for trying to educate the unwashed hoi-polloi but I fear it's in vain. Like my father used to say "Son, you can lead an idiot to knowledge, but you can't make him think". People who reject the facts of Evolution are ample proof of his wisdom.

People who don't accept evolution don't understand it... and rightly so, its a very complex system. The fact is however that you don't need to know everything about evolution to understand it. You just have to have the correct information. There are so many people spreading bastardized versions of evolution (mostly in the ID camp) that its no wonder people are confused.

They will continue to say that evolution doesn't happen today because they can't see a hippo give birth to a giraffe... That is their concept of evolution. They just dont understand at all.

EVOLUTION

The introduction to Genesis and to the whole Bible ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of Divine revelation. One must be true the other false. All of God’s works are good, great, wondrous, and perfect.

Man starts from nothing. He begins in helplessness, ignorance, and inexperience. All his works, therefore, proceed on the principle of evolution. This principle is only seen in human affairs: from the hut to the palace; from the canoe to the ocean liner; from the spade to the plowshare to machines. But the birds build their nests today as at the beginning. There is growth and development within man, but no passing, change, or evolution out from one into another.

For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be evident stages of evolution today. You would be able to find species in many stages of evolution in nature right now. For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be no God. And that’s exactly what evolutionists believe and are trying prove. The evolutionist bases his or her conclusions on human assumptions and reasoning, instead of on the documentary evidence of the manuscripts.

Good article, it's good to see it happening in such a short period, at least it quiets some detractors. Actually evolution is always happening around us, it's just on a much bigger time scale.

If you were able to come back here in a hundred million years you would see what I'm talking about.

That article proposes a different kind of evolution.
It didnt oppose it at all.
Evolution happens over spans of time too large for a single life to observe. Stop pretending youre a scientist and join the babble of the other religions.

Evolution is a never ending process, it's just a very slow and relentless one...difficult to observe as it happens but it's happening all the same...just as rocks erode slowly and you don't notice unless you compare photos of things now to how they were many years earlier and you then sometimes see the changes.

That's not all you have antibiotic resistant bacteria and head lice are now resistant to the most common active ingredient in head lice shampoo. Far from evolution not happening it's happening faster than ever as humans change the environment of more and more creatures. Say no to jesus http://saynotojesus.tk

dude, we just answered this very same article yesterday.
Anyways, microevolution (which the article is speaking of) is really rather inconsequential. The real question is macro evolution. I'm skeptical.

But I agree that the "then why isn't evolution still happening" question is extremely stupid.

Sorry but the finches "evolving" is not evolving. That is natural selection at work, not evolution. I did not read anything that said that the finches had evolved into a bat or dog or anything.

Here's a website about those finches "evolving"
