I just got asked out by a 14 year old little girl on the street on my lunch break AGAIN! This is the latest insult in a year that has seen four random gay men in Central London asking me out, as well as a bunch of 16 year olds and middle-aged women. Why can't anybody my own age and preferred sex (female) ask me out? Is it my fault? And also, if this happens to you, does it make you feel more lonely and single?

The longer you wait the more happy you will be when you find that special person, i know i will be. Meanwhile take all the people asking you out as a compliment and if it is embarrasing, if you see a person making a beeline towards you make yourself busy with your mates. It doesent make me feel lonely because ive got my mates but occasionally it does make me feel single. It isn't your fault, people obviously haven't got good taste. Just keep your chin up, smilr and surround youself with mates. (chocolate sometimes helps aswell)

Hahaha, almost exactly the same thing happened to me a while ago!
I went to have diner over at a co-worker's place.
Her husband and her 14 year old son were there too.
The son obviously took a shining to me for some sick reason I don't even want to think about it.
At one point, he asked me how old I was.
I thought that the answer (I am 29) might scare him away, but nooooo.... his response was "so then you are only 15 years older than I am!"

Thanks so much, is that supposed to make me feel better?

It felt weird, especially since only a couple of days before this
I went on a date with a man in his fifities who also expressed a more than normal interest in me.

So I'm okay with teenagers and over fifities, I just shouldn't try to get anyone my own age :-)

Hook up with the middle aged women and learn a thing or two. Middle aged women start reaching their sexual peak in their mid 30's so they are ready to turn the juices on and for a young pup it is the best, most confidence building experience you can get. I've been there, the good bye part was the hardest, but my other girlfriends are thankful I did it.

the best answer to give you would be this: if women from all different age groups hit on you and gay men hit on you, take it as a compliment. be nice about it. say something like "i'm flattered but i'm just not that into you" look at it as there is something about you that appeals to many different types of people. that is a compliment above all...it isn't your fault, but if you dont want younger girls hitting on you or gay men and way older women, maybe the way you present yourself needs a little work. this happens to me with women and older men all the time...and when they hit on me i just politely say "thank you but no". i used to hate it but now i realize, if im appealing to that big of the demographic, i might as well be proud of it. hope this helped!

oh poor lad!no its not your fault at all,,u are the last person to blame!! yeah! i agree with you that it does make someone do a bit of some introspection,,,
you may need to change how you dress abit,, maybe it makes you look too young or change you hairstyle,, it could be too flashy!!
or maybe the people you hang around with, change your crowd,,,try that!!!
best of luck

Hey, at least your getting asked out....

Most people have to walk around with paper bags over their heads with eye holes cut out....so think yourself lucky!

(present company excluded of course!!)
