I believe the Bible does mention dinosaurs in Job chapter 40. Here's the verses:
15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
Sounds like a dinosaur to me!

The Bible doens't mention cats or dogs, or aligators or crocidiles, there are a lot of animals not mentioned in the Bible. My guess is that they were not important to the story. For example when they old testament prophets sacrificed animals, the only animlas menioned are the ones that were used.
Genesis 1:20-25 does mentin that God created reptiles and beasts. Is it necessary to list every single animal by name? There may have never been a Bible at that rate.

a type-o maybe? Most christians point to a part of the begining in genesis that says " the earth was without form and void, and darkness moved across the surface of the deep" . as an indication of the existance of dinosaurs on earth before god re-made it into a dinosaurless place. And, some bible beaters say that dinosaurs didn't exist and that the skeletal remains are fabrications of satan. But, I don't believe either theory, I'm an atheist. God doesn't exist in my history books. savvy?

I often ponder that question myself. I believe the answer is that the bible was written by men, and they didn't know about dinosaurs at that time. My friends try to tell me that dinosaurs were grouped in with animals during the creation of the world, and that every "day" was actually millions of years, but I don't believe that. When it was written that God created animals, dinosaurs were not included in men's concept of "animals", so they were not included in that statement. Also not in the bible: any ice age, cave men, the meteor/whatever killed the dinosaurs, and the Fonz.

The dinosaurs were long gone before the people writing the Bible were born.
The Bible was written by people based on their experiences and beliefs, not by God.

Because the first dinosaur fossils weren't discovered back then and the people had a limited understanding of the world and the Bible is them trying to understand their observations.

Actually, in the book of Job, a beast called Leviathan is mentioned which sounds remarkably like an aquatic dinosaur.

Because the bible was written in an era before modern science fully understood what dinosaurs were.

Actually it does. It refers to the Levethian (large sea monster) and the book of Job refers to large land creatures.
I recommend the following webpage as it is well written introduction to dinosaurs in the Bible.
