If your mom's sister does, maybe you got it from her.

Genes are a funny thing. You can pull from anyone in your family. My grandmother is spanish and black, my grandfather is black. Though my dad is100% black, and my mom, well, aside from having some type of mixture due to my grandma, she's black... So I am in essense balck. You can, however, see my grandmothers quality in my hair. Not that it's necessarly mixed up or like theirs, but in that it's fine and full of body. Not all of my cousins have this type of hair...though they have the length. So I attribute my nicer grade to my grandma.

Myhusband is black and has light eyes. Neither of our kids have his eyes, but somewhere down the line, I'm sure they'll reappear....hopefully our grandkids (smile). Genes, they are a funny thing!

Have fun in your discovery!

Hi I have always wondered this myself. I have very curly hair and so does my daughter and son. I am Italian and Irish. I think a lot of Irish people have curly hair. But sometimes i think I must have some african american in me to have curly hair.

Well, considering we are all "mixed", and there are no pure bred humans anymore, it could mean that you have the curly hair gene.

Everyone is mixed. You may have some italian or spanish in your family somewhere. Check your family tree, it will help.
