If dialing from the US you will have to dial 011-66 and then the number. If you are calling from another country...try the following website. I do International sales and I use this every day!

I assume you are dailling from outside of Thailand ? everyone is correct in telling you to knock of the 0 from the front of your friends mobile number and indeed Thailands country code is 66 however then it depends which country you are phoning from as to what there code is to get out the country for example to get out of the uk would be 00 to get out of australia is 0011
if this does not work as you sugested some mobiles in some countrys do not recognise this instead of putting for example 0011 66 you have to put in #66 check with your service provider of your mobile !

(66 is country code & 2 is the city code for Bangkok)

To dial your example, you dial the following:
001 (IDD outgoing) 66 (country code) 5058 0514 (mobile no, leave out the first 0) or
0011 (IDD outgoing) 66 5058 0514
You do not need area code for mobile number.

0066 does work you dail 006650580514 missing the 0 off the begining of the phone number
