I think it means that God, in all His Glory and Holiness, knows what we will do. Just as Judas betrayed Jesus, God knew Judas would do that, as Jesus Himself expressed.
However; Judas was not tied to that destiny, he could have chosen a different path.

I believe in predestination to a point. I think there are set roads out there for us (lessons we need to learn.) As we go through life, making critical choices here and there, they still lead us to the same turning points - only the choices we've made up to that point determine how easy or difficult it will be to face the challenges we're presented.

I was givin a real good view on this once, hope it helps you. Lets say we have a door and if we go through that door means we got saved. Well on the front side of that door you read predestination, but once we go through we see free will on the other side of the door. Jesus came to save the lost, and that means everyone. He is will that not should perish but that all should come to repentence. We can choose to get saved or choose to ignore Jesus as well.

Predestination isn't real. Living is about free will and learning from the exercise of that free will.

God is Alpha and Omega, the first and the end. He had a plan from the beginning of time. He is omnipotence and know all the past, present and the future. Nothing surprises God since it would not occur without his will.
