I'M SORRY

All day i sat
Thinking of you
Wondering what you
Were doin
But I hadnt a clue

After lastnight
I didnt think we'd speak again
I said alot of things
That I truly didnt mean

I cant take them back
Nor can i change the past
I so desperately need you here
But I set you free

I dont know what I can say
To change your mind
Deep down inside
I didnt want you to leave
Im lost without you
Telling me you love me

I cant bare
You pushing me away
I could be ignorant
But it wouldnt hide the pain

You think i dont care
Truth is its breaking my heart
I dont know you
But i want to
I just dont know where to start

The accusations
Are what push me away
After so long
The love just fades away

Its funny how the truth
Comes out of you when your mad
Its those words
That make me wonder
If we cold ever make it back

Im sorry
I dont deserve you
I want you
But i cant have you
Somthing on the outside
Looking in
Your behind that glass
I want you
But your out of my reach

I need you by my side
But your so far away
Im hangin by a string
Trying not to lose you
But i already have
Just by the things ive said

You couldnt forgive me
I dont believe you could
Its hard to forget
But i wish youd come home
In my arms is where you belong
You took long enough
To come into my life
And in an instant
We said good-bye

Im sorry sweetheart

--------------And then theres this one:

FORGIVE ME

I never meant to hurt you
the way I know I have.
Your love means more to me
than anything and I'll do whatever it takes
to prove that to you.

Since the day I met you and
your love touched my heart
I knew that my life would never be the same.

Please forgive me for the pain I've caused.
I'll make it up to you every chance I get.
You have my heart and my love forever

Well, I'm not a big fan of poetry.

Perhaps a better way of handling the situation is to simply ask him to understand what was bothering you and how you were feeling at the time. We all have times when we lash out at those we love because we we know we can. Arguing and exchanging harsh words is not always a taboo thing in a marriage. I despise therapists who say otherwise...I'd like to know how many time they've been divorced in part due to lack of communication!

What I do have question is this...why is your husband coming down so hard on you? He sounds a little manipulative and unyielding.

Truly, unless you told him you wished he was dead or something really awful, he should be willing to understand your emotions at the time and forgive you.

With all due respect, while there are a few decent poems out there, most of them sound like they are written by Cletis the Slack Jawed Yokel.

Why use someone else's words? Use your own but tell him, show him through actions and if he's a nice guy, he'll lighten up a little.

If he doesn't, you have a larger problem on your hands that you realise.

The beauty of a poem is that it speaks directly to your heart, your pain, "your situation." How in the world are you going to find a card that is that specific.

Here's how to start:

What is the overall poem expressing? Apology/Forgiveness

Specifics: When my nephew died of cancer and I took it out on you, can you ever forgive me for the mean and spiteful things I said. You mean the world to me and I never intended to put you in the crossfire of my confusion and anger.

Now, if you want to title it you search among the specifics and get, umh - Crossfire
Here's what I came up with, I'm sure you can do better.

Crossfire, by Hazel Eyes

I love you. I understand you need distance. I love you. I realize
I broke your heart.

You were accidentally caught in the crossfire of my pain and
grief.

I love you more than words can express. Please forgive me
for attacking you in my distress.

You were unintentionally caught in the crossfire of my confusion and anger.

I lashed out when I should have been leaning on you for support.

You were mistakenly caught in the crossfire of my angst and sorrow.

Please forgive me the hurt I upraised in you. Please heal and return to me.

Our love has been caught in the crossfire of my heartache and your pain. Please return and love me again.
