I got married in February in Ohio. My mother-in-law to be was positive there was going to be a blizzard and no one was going to be able make it. There was no blizzard. In fact there was no snow. It was sunny and 50 degrees outside. The weather was beautiful. Most people were able to stroll to the reception that was 2 or 3 blocks away and enjoyed it. My only regret was that since we were able to have pictures outside that the trees were bare. I chose February because I assumed booking the reception site and church would be easier. It was. I was also told that some of the costs would be lower during the winter because vendors were slower.....they weren't. Good Luck!

I got married in December (but five years later divorced in January!). Summertime weddings seem to be the norm - saturdays in June the most popular. Probably has to do with people wanting to take honeymoon in some tropical destination where they can frolic in the sun, without much to wear, and enjoy being together. Cold months have advantages too. Imagine a honeymoon destination perhaps in the snow covered mountains at a beautiful mountain lodge, a hot steamy hot tub on the back deck, and nothing but time and each other. Now that's a honeymoon to be remembered.

February it's cool but if you live in a state that gets most of the snow in that month good luck make sure before you sign any contracts with the caterers church bakery and photographer make sure they can give you a make up date so seriously consider the month especially if you live New York that's when we get the record breaking snow example last February we got 26 inches of snow in one day so consider the this and if going simple try February 14 very romantic. good luck

Yep. It was a drafty old church too. Fort Snelling Chapel in St. Paul Mn. February 6th 1988. It was 28 below zero and a 74 below windchill! I even had long johns on under my tux!
Things warmed up nicely during the honeymoon though!

I got married this last December and it was cold and snow flakes were coming down. It made a beautiful exit when we were leaving the church for the honeymoon. The church was beautifully decorated in Christmas stuff and it made the pics and everything else look soo cool. ;) There is my opinion.. Good luck and congrats.!

I did and it was really neat. I got married in late november so it was a fall wedding with a summer feel. It was really nice, as everyone was coming in, since it was cold, we had coffee and hot chocolate set up so they could mingle and warm up before the ceremony.

I was married in a cold month, and trust me it's more romantic than you think. (I believe that this still counts on what kind of person you are). Good Luck anyways :)
