Nothing of what I see is really now. Everything I see is already over. The sun I see is 8 minutes old, yet the energy is always now. All the stars I look at on a clear starry night are no longer there as I observe them. The wall I look at is older than the one I see.

The past is over & so is the future since it's unknown.

You sound like a Led Zeppelin song.

It is a complex thing because in that very moment when you start thinking about what is (the present) it becomes what it was (the past) because the present isn't really that lasting. It does exist even if it lasts a fraction of a second, thus you cannot disregard it.

On the other hand, you cannot really comprehend what will be (the future). Even if you think of it as the next coming second, when you finish thinking about it, it has already passed by becoming the present and almost immediately becoming the past.

Hope I make sense, I feel dizzy already, but great question nevertheless!

I can see what is, remember what was, and imagine what will be. The key is to accept what I see as being just the way it is supposed to be at this very moment.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The Bible is our manual. It teaches us of yesterday, today and tomorrow. It tells us everything we need to know to live a good & fruitful life with Christ.

One should not smoke pot or drop acid, while visiting yahoo answers. It corrupts the mind into asking questions like this.
