I'm sure it has impacted on quite a number of people. I still believe in God, although terrible things happen every day. I must be honest though. If I were one of the holocaust victims, I don't know if I would answer the question in the same way.

No it does not. The holocaust just proves that if we don't heed Gods warnings we are the ones that suffer for it. It proves that what the Jewish prophets spoke has a sure fulfillment. The holocaust was caused by Satan since he hates all Israelites and Christians. It pays to listen to the words of Jesus who said, ´´ In those days there shall be such great tribulation which has never been before nor it shall be after. Not only Gods people will suffer but unbelievers too. Gods house will be judged first, then the rest. God bless you!!!

The holocaust is a horror no man, woman or child should have to deal with and it was a travesty that so many had to endure it. I've been to some of the sites and it humbles you. I don't believe in God, so that was not effected but it did lower my belief in man kind....some men can be absolute monsters.

No because God exists above and beyond His human creation. Creation is fallen and sinful - susceptible to atrocities like the Holocaust. God is still actively involved in the world but bad things happen because people are sinful not because God doesn't care.

I've read interviews and books about Holocaust survivors and certainly if going thru that didn't lower THEIR belief in God and religion, it shouldn't lower ours.

Which Holocaust? the one 60 years ago committed against the Jews, or the one occurring as we speak committed by the Jews?

Does prayer work? Hundreds of millions prayed for God to stop Hitler, but God did nothing and 30 million+ died. Either God is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

I don't believe in God anyway, the worst part about it for me though, is that Hitler actually thought he was helping the evolution of the human race by eliminating those deemed "inferior".
