The actual maintenance manual illustrated parts lists are normally only available to the owners/operators and repair facilities of aircraft, and cost thousands of dollars per copy. The library or internet is a good source for books on piston and jet engines if you want to see the cutaway diagrams that discribe the operation of these powerplants.

The aircraft power comes from the engine. It could be fuel engine or a jet engine exceplt in the case of a glider, that's wind power. And don't try to plant that aircraft in the side of a mountain...the mountain will stop your trip right away.

Well since most aircraft are powered by Jet engines it might be a good idea to go to a library and look up books on Jet Turbines.
Else consult your local airschool.

If you mean the actual IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalog), it is a subcription service that usually only operators and maintenance organizations buy because engine manuals are very expensive.
