I believe that I was created in the image of God.
I think the theory of evolution is hilarious: I guess that's why i'm still going to visit my relatives in the monkey section at the zoo. Just to have a family reunion. NOT
I have to ask myself this question. How did the monkeys get here if we evolved from them? Still this goes right back to God, so If all paths lead back to Him, why should I start any where else?

I bellieve That there is a God, but unlike many my God is perfectly capable for creating me from pond scum, small animals, monkeys or anything else He may have thought of.
Sorry your God is so limited.
Concerning the debate going on about intelligent design and evolution: is it possible that the final answer about which of these two seemingly opposite ideas is correct could simply be yes?
With one position firmly held by the believers and the other just as fearlessly defended by the non-believers, if you happen to be in a position somewhere near the middle, it does not look all that complex. From this position, you wonder why either-or has to be the answer.
If you believe that some higher being created the universe by intelligent design, what more elegant and intelligent design could there have been than a self-regulating system that continually checks its own errors and makes its own corrections in mid-stream as an integral part of the process.
This all seems quite logical to me although it probably won’t satisfy the believers because they are afraid to see any truth other than the one they have been told to believe in. Inversely it certainly won’t satisfy the non-believers because it leaves them stuck with a god that they are so obviously terrified of.
To sum up this view from the center, it might be most easily be explained by saying perhaps the designer was intelligent. Problem is, the designer was likely so intelligent that those seeking to prove that it is intelligently designed may be incapable of ever understand it well enough to see it for the elegant self regulating design that it has always been.
The nonbelievers will be similarly handicapped due to the internal terror the have about the idea that there may be a God. Neither side being able to leave their entrenched position for fear they may have to admit they were wrong. While the rest of us stand by trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Personally I don’t think anyone is wrong, I just feel both sides are about half right.

Evolution is a fact. There is a multitude of evidence supporting it and very little against it. If you have a thorough knowledge of the theory as it stands today you will see that it is correct.
All of the arguments i have heard against evolution have come from people who obviously dont understand the theory, or have been completely misinformed about it.
One more thing that most creationists (and IDers) don't understand is the meaning of the word "theory" within the context of science. A theory isn't a guess, a theory is a tested and supported claim. For all intents and purposes a theory is a fact in science.

1. Man (not woman) created god in his own image.
2. I tend to believe a scientific explanation for our existence. There is another theory that living cells arrived on this planet via large asteroids. No theory has been absolutely proven as correct, but at least science has some facts and figures to back up their claims.

Yep... we are all just pond scum... and if the evolution of humans from pond scum isn't a miracle showing devine control over us all then nothing is.
Of course, some humans haven't evolved very far from pond scum... Creationists, for example

I got here through this little process called sexual reproduction.
I doesn't hurt my feelings to know that a finite number of generations separate me from a single-celled organism.
Believe? Try 'observe' or 'understand'. Organisms have variations, organisms reproduce - some better than others. Those two observations constitute evolution.

Evolution
Because it makes sense, it is logical, and it is observable (if you take a course in evolution, you can do experiments with fruit flies and other organisms where you are able to observe evolution). We have so much common DNA with the other primates, I believe it is clear that we shared a common ancestor.
The creator theory sounds like a fairy tale, with no evidence or logic to it.

I believe that we were created in God's image. (Genesis 1-2) (especially Genesis 1:26). Then man decided to sin (Genesis 3) and then man began to create each other. (Genesis 5:2). It's all in Genesis.

Procreation. Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny - look it up. I'd also suggest some good books on evolution. I believe in science. Explain terrorism in the name of G--. Talk about not using the name in vain...

Good question, it contains controversy.
For the big bang theory people I say this; where did the first pice of matter come from, if not God?
water evolved from applesauce
