Has she tried to talk to him? If she has and he's simply not interested then I would tell her to move on. She deserves the attention of someone who is equally interested in her. You can't force people to be interested in you so if they are not then you might as well stop wasting your time.

You need to start telling anyone that will listen how great your friend Holly is, including him of course.
Then she just needs to ignore him and that should work.

Tell Holly, that guys arent' so great at picking up signals sometimes, so if she wants to get his attention, she can't afford to be too subtle. Sometimes you need a little "in your face"

Do your homework on the person she fancies and see if they have any similar interests to go by. Personally, if I think a guy is really hot but we have nothing in common or he's just plain stupid, I don't persue any further. Also, sometimes it helps to not look so interested....Cora

your friend should not give him any special attention and just act like friends. if he realises that he doesnt get that much attention from him any more - he will turn around and wonder whats changed and chase her more. Be cool. If its meant to be it will be :)
