For starters, in the last century it was considered socially acceptable for a man to "have a piece of fluff on the side." It has also been a sign of a man's masculinity for centuries that he who can bed the most women is more masculine. Does this make it OK? Heck no. It's becoming more prominent for women to cheat (hey, what's good for the gander is good for the goose, right?) but it's a problem on both sides, and I think the root of the problem is SELFISHNESS. If a husband or a wife stopped to think about how the other person would feel if they found out and/or what it would do to their marriage, most men and women wouldn't cheat. For those that would, there's obviously a problem in the marriage that the husband and wife need to sit down and work out. When you get married you make promises. One is not to cheat on your spouse. The other is to stay together through thick and thin, good and bad. If people would take their promises more seriously there would be a lot less cheating going on and a much lower divorce rate.

In some instances the men that do this is because they have a larger sexual appetite than that of the woman at home. Some times, the man himself is an as$hol3. However, it is a true fact that now most man screw around with some one else than their wife or fiancee is because they want to keep their relationship at home intact.
You have to admit also that we are not perfect being and we do make mistakes, but we love you girls too.

Some men are so insensitive and we as women allow them to be this way when we know that they are unfaithful and yet we still do every thing we can possibly think of to please them we allow them to get away with it, am not saying that we don't wrong them sometimes, we are only human as they are and we must accept that but we must also accept that if we set back and continue to turn a blind eye on our spouse infidelity we will never be satisfied I believe that it is correct in society for a guy to have more than one woman but not vise verse we need to change this if he’s cheating start the packing know that you are better of alone there are to many sexually transmitted diseases to risk your life on his infidelity and the sooner we all wise up to this reality the better

I'd wager that just as many men do it as women. The catch is, the women who are cheated upon, are more often more willing to forgive. I've known just as many women as men who cheat. And more often than not, the woman forgave the cheating man. The men rarely forgive the women.
Men have a primal urge to procreate. It's something that women rarely understand. Males in all species are driven by an instinctual urge to "spread their seed" as it were.
In humans however, there is much more involved than just reproducing. That urge shows as the insatiable sex drive in most men. Men really ARE always thinking about sex. They aren't always conciously thinking about making babies. But the whole point of sex in nearly every other creature on earth is reproduction. Only humans, dolphins, bonobos and a few other animals have sex for pleasure.
Women can have huge sex drives as well. They tend to have higher testosterone levels than the average woman though. And often it shows in their comparatively high aggressiveness.
But often, the things that drive men and women to cheat are quite different. And usually it's far more emotionally driven in women than in men.
We are different creatures. Our hormones are different. Our bodies are different. Our emotional needs are different. And yes, men do want to have sex more than women.
Men often see sex as proof of love or as the ultimate emotional bonding act. Women are far less dependent upon sex as proof of love. It's safe to say that guys would be happy with sex everyday. While women are usually happy with once a week or even once a month.
If a man wants sex everyday, and a woman only wants it 7 or 30 times less, that is reason enough for men who aren't strong enough to stay committed to cheat.
And if a woman wants to cuddle, to be appreciated, and to be lavished with affection, then she feels justified in seeking those things from someone else if she feels she isn't getting enough from her guy.

They don't respect themselves or their women. If the woman doesn't mind her man seeing other women then cool -- but let her make that decision. He just needs to realize that if he wants to be a playa then he has to know he must come financially, physically, and emotionally ready. Most men say they want two women but they really can't maintain the standard for long without help.

I'm not offering this as an excuse for their behavior, but men have a biological need to spread their seed around, so to speak, to further the species. If you look at biology at its most basic, it's not a good idea for a man to put all of his eggs in one basket, because if something happens to the mother or the children, his line is gone. Better to spread it around so his line has a chance of continuing.
But other than that, man...people just suck.

Husbands who pretend to love & die for their wives, tend to be more in such extra marital activities. He doesnt understand the values of marraige and thinks his wife as a permanent tool for his sexual desires like the others he copulate with.I dont belive that they are hypersexual and hence doing these things!!
There is one more aspect- when the wife fails to satisfy the desires of the husband and children become more attached to her and makes her more a mother than a wife, she sometimes move away from the husband and this also can lead to these affairs.

A the Lord said, "Go forth and spread thy seed!"
Also, simple mathematics would dictate that a man cheating on his spouse would be doing so with another woman who most likely is cheating on her significant other resulting in a 1 to 1 ratio. Therefore, your hypothesis about men getting away with it more is wrong.

As my boyfriend of 4 years just told me the other night (when confessing to cheating on me two times) said, "I guess I just wasn't strong enough!" Men are weak and when all the blood rushes to their penis, they no longer have any in their brain and therefore can't think. Believe me, that's not a good excuse, but it's how lots of men function.
