Compared to a game programmed in C or C++, no. Java is slower because it is an interpreted language, where C and C++ are compiled languages. The strong point of Java is that it is platform independent. All you need on any platform is the java run time environment and you can use the same code on any OS.

i dont think so i think java is a host for playing games like rea player is a host for playing music
