They don't just eat pork hot dogs, they eat ribs, ham, loin roasts, bacon, chops...even chitterlings! (I'm sorry to say this, y'all--I've nothing against "soul food"--but I've been in homes where people are eating the latter, and, no matter how many times they're washed, I think they STILL smell badly!)

I'd imagine that you, personally, have a RELIGIOUS objection to eating pork? Or is it a philosophical objection? Or do you like pigs because they're more-intelligent than other barnyard animals, and you don't want to see them abused by being raised in "factory farms" and being cruelly slaughtered for meat? Obviously, not everyone is a Muslim, an orthodox Jew, or a vegetarian, and everyone else is likely to scarf down all sorts of pork products without giving the matter a second thought.

They are cheaper and still tast fairly good to us. Add in the fact that many religions here in the US do not have special dietary restrictions concerning pigs, and there you go.

I prefer all beef, especially Hebrew National, but will buy mixed meat hot dogs since they are far less expensive, and in some cases (Ballpark singles) easier to fix for my girls.
