If you gotten interested in bondage, you should have a particular area on interest, such as what you would like to tied up or have tied up. This is where you fantasy mind will need to be filling in the blanks. However, strangely enough, Wikipedia has useful information about different positions. In general, a web search will yield plenty of sites that go into what you are interested in.
Techniques vary on the kind of positioning that you are looking at. If you are looking at handcuffs, I would highly recommend that you avoid the metal variety, especially the cheap kind that some places sell. Metal is not exactly designed with bondage games in mind. They are very rigid and unforgiving, and can be dangerous on certain nerves if pressed against them. If you are going the cuffs route, invest in some leather ones from the get go.
Another medium of bondage would be something like rope. Be sure to use reasonable soft material and not rough manila. Rope needs to be applied in ways to avoid putting stress on certain areas of the body, but it is not a bad way to go. Similarly, using scarves and handkerchiefs is a pretty good way to go. However, in all cases, the binder needs to have something readily available just in case of an emergency to cut up the binding material. A pair of surgeon's scissors would work best.
The best resourse for techniques, advice, and how to's would be to discuss this with someone who is practiced in it. There are a lot of chat rooms, including some on Yahoo, that focus on this. An even better resource would be to attend a munch and talk with fellow bondage fans about things. You should be able to locate a munch group nearby if you live in or close to a fairly decent-sized city by doing a web search for such groups and getting in touch with a contact person.
Most importantly, experiment. That's generally how a lot of people figured out techniques before the Internet became popular. Good luck with your new interest.

Well it is not hard to start. All you have to do is Do What YOU like. Start small with love cuffs and then you can move up to the hard leather. The only other advise I have is make a SAFE WORD. One that means you want to stop every thing and be set lose. So good luck and have FUN.
