Most of the responses below are way too low. What the scale should say is not nearly as critical as how much muscle and fat you have. If your fat level is too low or too high, then you may need to make a change.
But the more muscle you have, the better your body burns fat, functions and protects your joints and other organs. Bodybuilders (who take weight lifting to an extreme) often weigh a lot more than the recommended weight charges and yet have very, very little fat.
Muscle also looks tight and lean and a pound of muscle is much smaller than a pound of fat, so if two people had the same build and are the same height and weight, the one who has more muscle will be smaller than the other (clothing size and measurements).
So...there's a range for your height that is recommended but there's far more that should be considered to know what is the best weight for you.
The easy way - look in the mirror. Do you like what you see?

It depends on your bone structure. According to the Met Life height/weight chart, if you're a woman of 5'8" and you have a small frame, you should weigh between 123-139. If you have a medium frame you should weigh 136-150. If you have a large frame you should weigh 146-167.

Your muscle mass and bone mass play a big role in how much you weigh... consult a dietitian or doctor to find out exactly. Also, you might want to try a BMI (body mass index) calculator.

there is no right weight cuz everyone has a different built ...you could have a lot of muscle mass that would make you much heavier but you still can be thin ... as long as your really not too skinny or too fat itz okay you can do a BIM test at your doc and he'll tell you ;) ...but don't do it alone cuz you can't measure your fat...

5 ft=150cms
2.54 x 8 = 20.32cms
150+20.32= 170.32 cms
