We do not exclude God. Excluding god seems like we are faced with God and then toss the idea aside for something else. God does not even enter the equation for many people for the same reason Aliens from the moon don't, there is no evidence of such and thus no logical reason to consider it.
Also people are not afraid of the idea of a creator. Why be afraid of an idea you do not put any merit to. More likely people are afraid of what peoples unshakable belief in something without proof will do to society.

I don't think anyone is afraid of a creator, I think people are afraid that they just came about by chance and are nothing special at all.
Actually those who are afraid of a creator are those who believe in God, fear has made them religious.
On the evolution front, I always get the feeling that people who believe in creation don't like the idea that they are not above any other species. God gives these people a sense of belonging that many people in modern times no longer need as science further explores who we are in the universe.

I don't take a stance, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to know who is right. I have my own belief. I believe in a creator. I don't believe it's the proverbial God, but I think that someone did something that created the spark that created life on this planet by mistake. Now what I believe might sound stupid, but can you say that I'm wrong? No.
Let people be.

We are not afraid of the idea... we think the idea is silly and illogical. We exclude a god from the equation because it doesn't make sense and there is no proof of it.
Why DO you choose to include a god in the equation? Everyone believes different things, obviously.

People aren't necessarily afraid of the idea of a Creator, but there are a lot of people that are afraid of the idea of that Creator being God the Father Almighty. Why? Simple: God the Father Almighty has set down a list of rules and has given us the choice to do things His way and accept the gift of grace He has given us through the blood of Jesus Christ, which will result in our salvation and a place with Him in Heaven, or we can choose to ignore His rules (and ignore Him in the process) and end up serving an eternal punishment in Hell. See, many people don't like being told what to do. Most folks like to believe that they are their own supreme being, that they are in charge of their own lives, and therefore they have the right to do as they please. God sets out a moral code that requires us to be considerate of other people and reverent to Him, and the people who choose to exclude a "god" from the equation have the attitude of "I don't answer to anybody." It's a fallacy. We all answer to someone. Reminds me of that bumper sticker that says: "If you believe there is no God, you had better be right!" (Goes great next to the bumper sticker that says: "Eternity: Smoking or non-smoking?")

Most people are afraid of the idea of a creator because they would have to feel guilty, and actually have to repent or answer to god for their wicked ways. This idea alone is too much for most people to handle in this day and age where devils run rampant. The devil is alive and has more people under is thumb than EVER. Too much pride.

I believe its a issue of pride. If someone admits there is a God then they also admit they are sinners and need him.Where as someone that attempts to deny God's existence goes through life making themselves as their god, lead only by what they think is right at the moment

This is my personal opinion only based on my common sense:
If a person believes that there is a possibility of no God, and that person believes that he might possibily be wrong, then he will be so against God and does not want to hear what might happen just in case he is wrong.
Again, just my opinion. And my opinion and $100.00 U.S. will get you a cup of coffee in most places.

Bingo Kimberly!
There is no real proof that God exists. Even the scholars can't agree on one bible. It boggles the mind that people actually believe in a being that they have never seen.
It's almost as bad as believing in Santa Clause or the Tooth Fairy...
