Yes it is normal, but dreams are also about symbols. Instead of dwelling on the nightmares , look for the symbols in your dreams. They are a reflection of what you are feeling about yourself.
Also you can visit the RAINN website and get the 1-800 number to talk to someone about the rape. It is confident ail and they are amazing people.
I also do not know what state you are in, but here in my state we can dial 411 and it comes up as a helpline with people that provide information on all sorts of topics

Absolutely it's normal. She lived through a very traumatic experience and even though she can go for months without thinking about it, it's still there in her subconscious and will manifest itself in her dreams. I would definitely recommend that she get some counselling to help her sort out her feelings so she can move on with her life. She might still have nightmares but they might not be as frequent.

Of course it could happen. If this is you, or a friend you're talking about, counselling is extremely important. Check the phone book; you'll find several options, including some that won't cost you anything. Look for a women's resource center or something similar.

It seems very normal to me. Extremely traumatic events like that can stick with a person for a very long time. And can affect life in many ways, even ways that don't seem connected to the event.

Absolutely. Without question. For her sake, get whatever counseling is available for her now, the longer she waits, the greater her problems will be later in life, it's bad enough now.

yes it is normal---but i suggest if this is you to go get counciling---and if this is your friend i suggest you offer to go with her to get some counciling, sounds like she might have PTSD( post tramaic stress disorder) only a doctor and diagnose this for sure though----get her some help---sounds like it is needed.
hope this helps-----i was so close to having a nervous breakdown before i got into councilng----you feel like you are the only one and you are soo scared and it is hard to talk about----but if you do and get help you will get better---slowly
