As soon as all the countries can figure out who's side to be on, and who they will be fighting. Which could take awhile.

I dont know. The current middle east conflict has the possiblity of escalating into a world war, especially since N. Korea has been connected to Iran. If Iran gets involved with the Israeli conflict anything can happen. In a way, I hope it does. This has been building for quite some time now, and it might as well happen now and be done with. Iran and Korea are the current menace, like Germany and Japan were. Islamic facism is a growing worldwide problem too, and the world so far has refused to stand up against it. I hope this is WW3, and I hope it happens soon.

Look at the past two world wars, the number of nations involved, the number of civilians slaughtered or imprisoned, etc...
There's no way you can you equate either of the two world wars to what's going on now. Not by a long shot...
The only way one would be set off soon, would be if Israel invades Syria, Iran launches ballistic missiles at Israel, Israel launches back and threatens nuclear retaliation, and in the middle of all this N. Korea attacks S. Korea. Even after all that, a major power like China or Russia would have to back N. Korea and Iran for it to be a fight and classified as a World War.
That's a hell of a lot of if's and I don't think it's going to happen.

Look at all the wisemen on here...."oh, it's started already!". Gimme a break. I wouldn't call Iraq and Afghanistan together a "World War". Anyway, i would guess sometime in the next 20 years but definitely before 50 years.

Doubt there'll be another world war. Countries will not invade anyone with any kind of nuclear regime, it's too risky. The UK and the US will continue invading small oil rich countries lie Iraq because our governments make a fortune from the oil revenues they get. The UK and the US aren't daft enough to invade anyone who pose a risk towards our own countries.

i wonder why people are lacking behind like this (sorry for wrong spellings). All necessary preparations have already started, the only thins remains is to finish Iran, Syria, Lebanon, etc, and then the BIGGEST MISSION will break the real bloody WW III "that is attacking Mecca and Medina". It is Bush's mission, whether people like it or not, he will never stop his mission. only what is not known to people is his real mission (FINISH ISLAM AND MUSLIMS). But if you think, and observe what is happening currently, you will realise that.
Bush's mission is what is called 'mission impossible' and will never succeed.
