innocent,
Perhaps we need to clarify the true meaning of "In God's image". God is a Spirit. He has never been flesh, and never will be(aside from abiding within us when we invite Him in). I believe that we were created in His image as spiritual beings, and that our failure to do His will, condemned us to a physical existence. If you read Genesis carefully, there seem to be two different occasions where man is created, the second one being the physical creation from the clay of the earth. When we are bonded with God, in a loving relationship, we begin to take on the spiritual aspects of life, and start dying to the material, thus being reborn in His image.

Hi
Clothes started as protection to the body only.It is only somewhere through the ages, man became corrupt and started covering himself up in the name of modesty. It is true that man is made in the form of God.Wicked minds can see through any type of clothes that one can wear.

If we are to take Genesis literally you will see that Adam and Eve did not cover up because of the knowledge they gained by eating from the tree but because they were ashamed of their sin. Hence people who feel the need to cover up in front of others are trying to hide the sins in their hearts.

It's called modesty and it has nothing to do with being ashamed. My body is intended for my husband not the whole world. Some things should remain private. And let's face it some people we do NOT want to see naked or near naked. That we should agree on even if you are not Christian.

It's interesting how the more conservative a religious person is, the more corpulent and porcine they often are. No doubt they are against displaying the human body because they are ashamed of theirs.

The day nudity is immoral is the day humans are born with clothes on. Those who would reply, "We are!" are dumb enough to believe a stork brings babies.

God's image is his qualities. As a spiritual being, He would not possess a body that looks like ours. But we were given qualities that He has. Like ability to love, and be compassionate, loyal, and reliable. It is Satan from who we get the 'abilities' to hate and remember past impositions. Psalm 136; 1-26...1 John 4;16.16 And we ourselves have come to know and have believed the love that God has in our case.
God is love, and he that remains in love remains in union with God and God remains in union with him.
