Cash and carrys must be a regional name for a store. We don't have them here. Do you mean convenience stores or discount stores?
Discount stores get their stock from closeouts, auctions and fire sales.
Convenience stores buy some things from suppliers like Coke and Pepsi and snack foods. Other stuff comes from a wholesaler who buys in larger quantities to supply small stores.
They sometimes carry items on consignment.

they have suppliers they sign-up with.. and some things are bought on a sale or return basis.... phone your local, say.. kwik save.. and they will let you know the suppliers
