is there any way to get back a windows user account?

i made a new user acount but i dont know what happend n my previouse acount disapeared now i have just 1 account how can i get back the lost 1?

Assuming Windows XP, double click the My Computer Icon.
Click on the icon or listing for your Local Drive (C:)
Click on Documents and Settings
There should be a subfolder in there for each User ID set up on your PC. Look for the folder for the missing user ID. If it is there, you can recover the ID. If not, it is gone forever.

If it is there, go into the Control Panel and click on the User ID
Create a new user account with a new name
Go back to the Documents and Settings folder for the missing user account. Select all the files in the folder and copy them over to the new account you just created
Now log in with that new account and you should have everyhting back for the missing account
