I understand that the mayor is a democrat like most large cities. I can live with people with other beliefs. But do people mostly get along? What's the ratio of conservatives to liberals? Is there any good talk radio available?

South of the Missouri River it is liberal christian mainly Democratic voting. North of the river tends to be Christian Conservative. If you can live in Kansas then try Leawood/Overland Park. If you can live east of town try Lee's Summit. Overland Park is Conservative Christian , low crime and good schools. Don't even think of letting your kids go to public school in KCMO south of river! It has been trashed by political graft and incompetence to the point they lost their accreditation. There are some fine private and catholic schools south of the river.

Someone please answer a yea or nay on this one... If it's conservative christian friendly, I'd better steer clear of it.
