Go to a pet store and by some apple bitter...

And then consider some parenting classes and learn how to deal with this without resorting to passive techniques.

Based on the additional details: you do need to get on the same page with the ex - the divide and conquer stuff is something kids tune into and exploit to their advantage - if it is not stopped it will not get better and will probably get much worse. DO whatever it takes to get consistent parental control in their lives - for everyone sake.

The only thing that made me quit when I was a kid was biting soap. Ivory soap the bite stopper.

You will have to combat your ex because if he encourages them it will constantly be a mess for you. Perhaps you can get some of his family to help you for the good of the children.

They will outgrow their taste for human flesh soon. Just make sure they stay away from their father, he is the cause. It appears he hates you, so he causes this problem for you. If he thinks it is such a great wonderful thing, give them to him.

If their dad is encouraging it, you're not going to solve the problem unless you talk to him. You need him on your side saying it's not acceptable.

try lemon juice; if that doesn't work, separate them and give them a "time out" every time you catch them doing it until they learn not to do it anymore.

Spank them and separate them for the rest of the day.
