Good question. Theism is the belief in God, or gods. Generally, it implies entities which have great power and, to most beliefs, are functionally distinct from humans.

I define spiritualism as belief in spirit - a quantity that exists within humans and possibly between them (and possibly including animals or maybe everything). For me, the difference is that a spiritualist may not see the human spirit as 'divine' (greater than us) or 'other' (seperate from us).

I do believe in a quantity that humans call a 'soul' or a 'spirit'. I don't have a well-defined belief in it, and it doesn't effect my day-to-day life much, but I do think there is something that 'leaves' a body upon death. I accept the possiblility that that energy can be 'tapped into' or explored in some ways. There was a time when I once attempted to. I don't anymore.

Yet despite this, I don't believe in God.

Yes, you don't have to have a God for spiritualism. Spirit is a life force necessary to live... without it, you die. Theism is a structured set of beliefs in a god of some sort.

theism is Everything is God, and spiritism is worshiping and communing with all the so called gods, they really are demons! so spiritism is really demonic in nature.
