I think it's a very good work of fiction and no threat to christianity.

I think that Christians need to realize that they are not being told the full story at church or in the bible. They need to understand that there is more to Christianity and life and being a spiritual person than what the confines of religion preach. So if what the Da Vinci code is a threat to it for that reason. I am ok with people getting more knowledge in their heads, they are worth it.

I am a Christian and Think it is a great novel, but that is all I think of it...just a good creatiove novel with no factual base.

I do not see it as a threat to Christianity nor to my faithful belief to it...It may shake those that have not done any sort of studies between both and are inclined to believe anything anyone tells them, but as I whole, I think majority of people keep it confined to the boundaries of which it should belong in...the Fiction section of library.

Whether or not it can be construed as truth or fallacy, it should still be accepted as a legitimate story, and should be enjoyed.

I, an atheist, found it a very exciting book. Christians should be able to set aside their ignorance, and accept it as merely a story. After all, they've based their whole belief system on a story anyway. Why believe one story over another, especially if the one they're clinging to is of such dubious origins?

The real threat to Christianity is the exposure to the public of actual behaviors of Christians in positions of power.
Actions speak louder than words.

yes, its a threat to male dominated religious hype that they have fed women on for hundreds of years, i am glad this was brought out. i only hope it builds momentum and women continue to search out the truth about our churches, the DaVinci code may not be fact, but the fact is that there are several books never allowed into our modern bible, they give women too much power in the church." keep em downtrodden and under the thumbs of men and church."

The real threat to religion &/or Christianity is the male dominated church that changed the gospels as it saw fit!

Well not to defame Mr Brown but merely stating a "fact" (not like Mr Brown's though) dat people and org like him (nat geo etc) who are riding on peoples curiosity and lack of faith who "claim" to have proof (much like their UFO proof's) are sadly creatin confusion among christians.

Although as mentioned in the bible there wil be people who want to split the chruch and spread lies FOR PROFIT,will face punishment for their blaphemous ways and the chruch will prevail !

It is a good novel. No, a novel or a story can't be a threat for any religion. I think no religion is so breakable or touchy.
