A theist posts the following :

Why all the hate?
There seems to be an influx of people who don't believe in God on this forum that are bent on hate and/or negativity. Especially those that are here complaining about christians. Do you go to churches and complain that they are preaching at you there also?
- while there are some that offer well thought out questions or statements, there seem to be too many hateful statements here.

However this could easily have been posted by an atheist with just a few words changed :

Bad people are bad people. They just hide behind different masks.

At the centre of the firestorm are a handful of decent people - of differing beliefs - really using this forum to advance their knowledge. We need to seek out these people and carry on dialogue with them.

And ignore the rest.

Both sides are clearly guilty... oddly enough, this makes both accusations correct.

People are people, and religion has always carried a lot of feeling with it. Some people just don't know how to deal with people of differing beliefs, no matter what they personally believe in. Frankly, I'm glad to see they're getting their crazy time in a public forum where they can't actually hurt or kill each other... historically, religions have been kind of bad about that.

it type of feels to be 2 faculties of theory which could't consider one yet another. i imagine if each human being would take a extra balanced view of it they might discover that no count number what ones beliefs there is sturdy and undesirable in all individuals. i do no longer count number on God, besides the undeniable fact that I have time-honored many nice those who do. It merely relies upon on how quick someone is to argue and how a lot they choose others to have self belief as they do.

If we can at least agree that ignorance is a bad thing, then I'm sure everyone would start casting hate toward the christians.

You are absolutely right - I have taken off the blinkers and now I can clearly see that God does not exist. Thank you, thank you.
