I was swollen for about 2 weeks after all my extractions. And Bruised for about the same amount of time. Don't worry, the chipmunk look will be going away soon and you will have a great smile.

Everyone heals at a different pace...no two people have the same body and/or heal at the same way and time. Most people heal within ten days to two weeks however after having teeth pulled. Check with your doctor if you are concerned or having more pain than usual, in case of infection.

you poor woman. I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out a month ago, and I was in a lot of pain for about a week, and then it was fine. They gave me codiene to help with the pain. I hope they gave you something as well. Make sure you keep food out of the holes for the next few months, so they don't become infected. You should be doing warm salt-water rinses after you eat, and they should give you a plastic syringe to shoot water up in the holes at your next checkup.

The mouth normally heals quickly. What you have done is a lot bigger than average, so the swelling may take weeks to go down.
