A clarifying shampoo twice a week. There's a product line called textureline and they have a wonderful clarifying shampoo that will work wonders on her. Just be careful that she does not use it more than twice a week it can dry her hair out and if that happens use TiGi's peppermint deep conditioning conditioner. But only use it when needed.

You can also use dawn dish washing liquid soap. But ONLY use it once a week. It will dry out her hair if used more than that a week. And make sure she uses a Really good conditioner with it.

She should also limit how many times a week she uses conditioner. It would probably be best if she uses it only with the clarifying shampoo and use a spray in light leave in conditioner on the other days. Paul Mitchell has a really good one for kids. She might not be a small child, but it works wonders on young women and adult women too!!!

Use Dove products...all Dove products for oily hair.Make sure you are not mixing in between. Both shampoo conditioner..detangler etc.It should give it a luster and maintain the right moisture. And she should wash her hair every other day. Also some tweens(not yet teens) and pre teens 13-15 don't have good personal hygene...so if you have to stand by and see what kind of job she is doing of washing her hair...or offer her a "spa"treatment and do it yourself and see if that maybe the cause.

I have oily hair as well, I like the Herbal Essence Shampoo for oliy hair..
A few tips:
Shampoo frequently, Choose a see-through shampoo (has less goo), scalp massage during shampooing, don't use conditioner (it causes the hair to lay flat and look more oily), and last but not least....Don't over brush hair!

Hope I helped..

Neutrogena once a week shampoo strips hair of build up...perhaps it would be good for the oil too.

neutrogena all the way.

baby powder lightly at the roots will absorb oil all day.

(i have chronically dry hair, and you tell her i would trade in a heartbeat!)
