its a polygamous setting where a set of kids get the best of things and the next set get third best. where some kids get int'l education and some get local education, where some visit the world and some have neva been on planes. where some get under priced p.money and the other get overpriced p. money. where he makes the lives of one set easy and the other a living hell. then brings them together under one roof and expects them to be happy and cordial with each other

sit wif him and talk to him, this is kinda serious, if kids not treated equally, they will be detached from everybody, have a good talk to him, tell him the prons and cons...he is seriously making a big impact on the kids life!

It happened to me. I just kept my mouth shut. Did a lot of studies, until I've completed college. I showed him, that such situation will not bother me. Instead, I strived had for him to notice my perseverance. I got a job in the Law Enforcement Agency and eventually left the department for a greener pasture. Now, I am taking care of my dad, he is 83 yrs. old. All his favorite (my bro and sis), live their own life and seldom visits him here in my home. I'm not sure if he realize those days that I was considered nothing in the family. Anyway, let be bygone be bygone, the most important thing is, I will take good care of him till his last breath and I'm happy for that.

Well, lots more details are necessarry for me to give an answer, but I'm assuming you are one of the children? See what I mean? I have to guess. Are there girls involved, like younger sisters? or is it younger brothers? Do you just feel picked on? or are you asking this question for a sibling? This is hard, but my answer to your question is that your dad is probably not treating his kids differently. I think it's in your mind, because he disagreed with you or maybe something else that has happened recently, or he did something with a sis or brother of yours that you feel left out. Things will settle down if you let them, but if you are not a sensible child, then things might get worse. Good luck. Ron

Normally the parents treat there children alike.I think ur dad has some mental problem and must be taken to a psychiatrist.and if its a matter of a girl and a boy child then with time his attitude will definately change.

Hell ... I'd treat the best kid the best too. Truth is out of most children being raised in a household, only 1 of them is really worth the effort it took to creat them. If they are pieces of crap, then they should be treated as such. IF they are good, then treat 'em good.
