Hire a stunt double to stand in for you while you sleep the sleep of the dead. I do it all the time! I haven't appeared on my show for 4 years...

Take the caffeine nap. Have a cup of coffee, or pop...basically anything with caffeine in it. Then take a 15 minute nap. No more and no less. This will refresh you more than just straight up caffeine and won't take as much time as a nap.

I do this when I set up for raves. ;) I'm tired after setting up and in order to keep me going through the party I do this before the first set starts. Then I drink lots of water through the rest of the party. I rarely have to have any more caffeine.

Also, I have to agree with the other people. Get someone else to drive. The caffiene nap won't fix your reaction time.

Try and have another person drive. Then if you can possibly take a nap in the car then do so. I would suggest coffee and cold water on the face. Glad I'm not anywhere near you if you are going to drive anyway!!! Good luck.

Do you really have to drive 3 hours all in one go? You could just take breaks and have a strong cup of coffee! Thatz what my mum does when she has been on a night duty.

there is a pharmaceutical product called "nodoze"
I wouldn't recommend you drive if you are tired, not only is it dangerous for you, its more dangerous for other road users. I wouldn't want to be on the same road as you. Have a snooze when you get to family. Find someone else to drive you. Please don't kill yourself or someone else.
You can power nap for 10-40 minutes even without caffeine (as above) more than 40 and its worse than before.
